Skids or rigid sub-structures are used to support most modular structures in most industries. Ideal for placement on solid foundations such as concrete or packed gravel, but also used for setting on drilled piles in more permanent installations. Smaller skids are constructed to allow for sling lifting or loading over a flat-bed truck roll, common in oilfield use.
